keep doing what your doing you get there,
also try scaning in your line art then going into photoshop to color
that way you mix both worlds

what you should do is try drawing more on paper first
do a lot of body studies in drawing try and draw cup's anything around the house
you can get how to book's as well
then when you get better then try and do it digitally

great, what brush you use and is this photo shop or painter?

both photoshop and painter, and the sword is a custom brush, everything else is just a round brush
